Dear Friends,
We have had maybe the busiest two months of deputation so far, which in many ways is a very good thing. September and October were full of missions conferences all over from NC, MA, OH, AL, PA, VA. We had many very promising meetings that I believe will result in support. One church did vote at the conclusion of the meeting to take us on. We are at about 73% support and anticipate that to go up around the new years. I have most of next year scheduled and am working to fill the rest of it. We are praying that God would enable us to be finished with deputation by the fall of 2023 and then be able to book tickets to the Solomons. The generosity of those who support us is immense! We are excited and grateful to soon be able to begin church planting and gospel work in the Solomons!
Melodie and I hoped to be able to announce with excitement that we were expecting a little baby. However, God saw fit to take the baby. We find strength in the ever-wise and benevolent hand of our Heavenly Father. I hesitated to include this in our prayer letter, but this is real life and sad things are apart of it all. I ask that you would be in prayer for our family.
In November, we are moving from our apartment in Vermont to a mission house at a supporting church called Hilltop Baptist Church in Indiana, Pennsylvania. This will allow us to be closer to the Midwest where most of our meetings are for this coming year. We will make the move by the end of November. Then we will stay with some friends for several weeks in NH so Melodie can finish up her nursing classes.
Thank you all for your continued support. Pray with us that God would open doors with churches that are willing and able to take us on for support. Pray for our family regarding the miscarriage. Pray that God would continue to give us safety as we travel.
