2022 January and February Update

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We have had a wonderful last two months of traveling. We were at a different church each week from NH, MD, SC, TN, OH, and MA. Several churches have voted to take us on for support and we are waiting to hear back from others. We praise the Lord for a full schedule for most of 2022, and I am working to schedule the rest of the fall. It seems from my perspective that things are opening up around the US and more churches are having us in and are in a potion to take on new missionaries. Melodie and I are in good spirits as we continue our travels, however, our hearts so desire to be on the mission field that God has called us. I find strength knowing that God has perfect timing and as we faithfully obey Him at each step, He leads us.
God has given us a number of really cool opportunities to share the
gospel with people in our daily lives. It seems that people are often
having car trouble around me as we travel and I thank the Lord for the opportunities to lend a hand as well as share Christ with them. Melodie has had several opportunities to talk about God with her classmates in nursing school and is praying God will continue to open up doors to share the gospel. I praise the Lord for a wife who is often pointing others towards the Savior. In the next two months, we have meetings all over from NC, SC, PA, OH, MD, KY, and TN. Please continue to pray for safe travels, we are putting a lot of miles on the car with traveling back and forth each week so Melodie can attend her schooling and clinicals.

Douglas turned one year old on February 14, and I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around it. We praise the Lord for his good health and development. He still cannot speak in full sentences yet, which is disappointing, however, he did manage to say, “Father, you are my favorite!” Melodie still does not believe me on that last part, but I know.

Thank you for those who have been so gracious in giving while we are on deputation. We look forward to the day when our prayer letters and updates are about a church plant on a remote island in the pacific where God is growing His church. Thank you for your faithfulness as we work to get the gospel to the Solomons.

Prayer Requests:

  • Melodie to do well in nursing school.

  • Douglas’ salvation

  • Safety as we travel
