“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Psalm 18:30

It is so awesome to watch what God is doing even in the midst of a world-wide pandemic. If it were left up to us, we would not have have chosen to help start a church in the middle of Covid-19, but God’s way is perfect and He knew that this was going to happen years ago. When Pastor Nick Stelzig  planned to start Community Baptist Church in May 2020, he never imagined it would be under the circumstances of the last several months. Yet it seemed that this was the time the Lord wanted to start the church in Lawrence, Massachusetts. As planned about a  year ago, Melodie and I went and helped Nick for the whole month of May. Our work there looked differently than we had planned, but we saw God working. Instead of door knocking, community outreaches and meeting with people, we did a lot of painting, landscaping, and cleaning. Thankfully we were able to be there for the first Sunday service on May 24. Melodie and I were the greeting team and passed out welcome cards and masks if people needed them. The Lord is building His church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.

After leaving Lawrence, we were able to start up our deputation travels again. We left for the midwest on June 2nd with only two churches to present at, but God turned two meetings into five. We spent two Sundays in Wisconsin and Illinois, then one Sunday in Indianapolis and on June 28th, we were at two churches in the Asheville, NC area.

On June 29th, we traveled to Lake City, Florida. We will be helping out a church for a short time. I will be filling the pulpit in place of Pastor Lloyd Streeter who has been helping in a temporary capacity until a recent health issue.

Upcoming Ministry: During the months of December and January, we are planning a Project Everywhere trip to be with Michael and Norah Deatrick in the Solomon Islands. We will be doing youth outreach and other evangelistic outreach in connection with their church Pacific Light Baptist Church. We also intend to take a trip to the Western Province of the Solomon Islands to preach the gospel.

Prayer Requests

  1. Pray that Christ will continue to build His church, Community Baptist Church.

  2. Pray that churches will take Project Everywhere on for monthly support.

  3. Pray for God’s blessing and provision on the upcoming 2 month trip to the Solomon Islands.

Constrained by Love,
